Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has reported that the harbor improvement project in Maduvvari, Raa Atoll, is approaching completion.
According to the company, the Maduvvari South Harbor project has made an overall 90 percent progress thus far.
The harbor development project includes dredging 7,280 cubic meters from the channel, 80,400 cubic meters of dredging operations, 65,520 cubic meters of dredging from the harbor basin, 411-meter-long breakwater construction, 582-meter-long quay wall construction, and 135-meter-long revetment construction.
It will also comprise the installation of 2,840 square meters of paved space as well as navigation lights and streetlights.
Furthermore, the Maduvvari South Harbor project is worth MVR 72.6 million.
