A 35-year-old Maldivian man arrested in connection to the brutal Th. Dhiyamigili stabbing case was remanded in police custody pending the outcome of the trial.
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds in the attack, including four deep wounds on his back. He was initially treated at the Dhiyamigili Health Center, before being transferred to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
The suspect was presented before Madifushi Magistrate Court for a remanding hearing, at which the judge approved him to be remanded in police custody until a verdict has been reached after trial.
The viral video on social media shows the victim being stabbed multiple times by the suspect.
