The Government of Maldives has strongly condemned the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia.
A press statement published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated the multiple attacks targeting economic installations and civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia on March 20th are cowardly acts of terrorism. Moreover, it violates international law and threatens the security of Saudi Arabia and the region, and hinders global energy supplies.
Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis fired missiles and drones at Saudi energy and water desalination facilities, which oil firm Saudi Aramco said did not impact supplies or cause casualties.
Maldives reaffirmed its solidarity with the Saudi Arabian government against those threatening its security and reiterated its steadfast commitment to the fight against terrorism in all its forms.
