The Maldives has received over 100,000 tourists so far in December, the tourism ministry has revealed.
The tourism ministry said that over 100,000 visitors visited the Maldives for the sixth month in a row.
So far in December, the Maldives has reported an average of 5,153 visitors each day, for a total of 113,368 arrivals between December 1 and 22.
According to data, 92,103 tourists arrived in January, 96,882 in February, and 109,585 in March of this year. In addition, 91,200 visitors visited the Maldives in April, 64,613 tourists in May, 56,166 in June, 101,818 in July, 143,599 in August, and 114,896 arrivals in September, with 142,066 tourists arriving in October and 144,725 arriving in November.
India had the highest number of tourist arrivals, with 286,434 visitors. Russia is second with 214,232 tourists, while Germany is third with 90,732 tourist visits so far this year.
