Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali has revealed that efforts are underway to create its own examination papers to replace current O level and A level examination papers provided by Cambridge University in the United Kingdom (UK).
Speaking at the Parliament of the Maldives, Minister Aishath said that there is a need for the Maldives to create its own O Level and A Level examinations. The minister noted that the national curriculum is being taught in the country and that it would be better for students if a national institute created context-relevant examination papers.
She said that some work is already being done to create the examination papers, noting that it would be significant progress for the Maldives.
