Maldives has announced that it is set to introduce ‘3 V’ tourism, first of its kind to the world.
“Visit, Vaccinate, and Vacation” is a new travel concept initiated to adapt to a pandemic world. As the title suggests, tourists can visit and get vaccinated in Maldives, all while enjoying their vacation.
Minister of Tourism, Dr. Abdulla Mausoom, speaking at the virtual ITB Berlin has confirmed that the Maldives will be among the first nations to initiate vaccine tourism for travelers amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Minister Mausoom hopes that this would further promote the Maldives as a safe destination for tourists traveling despite the ongoing pandemic.
Maldives is one of the leading pandemic tourist destinations in the world after its border reopening during last year.
