Maldives is the top most preferred destination for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to the UAE based dnata Travel group.
70 percent of bookings by dnata Travel group owned Rehlaty is for Maldives, followed by Tanzania.
In 2020, Maldives was the destination of choice for Rehlaty’s customers. This year the trend is expected to continue. “The Maldives is more family-friendly than ever, and with its dry season extending to late April, now is an excellent time to travel,” Rehab Mansoor, General Manager at Rehlaty by dnata Travel.
Since March 28, Emirates has been offering customers 28 weekly flights to Maldives to cope with the increasing demand especially during the Easter holidays.
Maldives has become one of the top destinations since the country reopened its borders mid last year. Maldives has recorded over 300,000 tourist arrivals so far this year with India topping the source market.
