Ministry of Tourism introduces the Maldives Tourism Awards – Winner Badge. The ministry stated the badge can be used by tourist establishments which won awards in their communications and promotions.
The Maldives Tourism Awards were conferred to 27 recipients at an official ceremony held to mark the first National Tourism Day in the Maldives on October 3. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Vice President Faisal Naseem, Minister of Tourism Abdulla Mausoom, ministers of state and a number of tourism industry officials attended the prestigious ceremony held in the Dharubaaruge convention centre.
At the ceremony, President Solih conferred the Best Resort Award, Best Guesthouse Award, Best Safari Vessel Award, Best Travel Agency Award, Best Watersports Centre Award, and Best Dive Centre Award to industry professionals.
