A Maldivian flight carrying passengers from Malé to Laamu Kahdhoo had to make an emergency landing at Velana International Airport due to a technical fault. The incident, which occurred moments after takeoff, was quickly reported to the airline’s engineers who are now working to resolve the issue.
According to Mush’il Sobah, the Media Officer of Maldivian, no injuries were reported during the incident, and the airline is currently awaiting clearance from the engineers before the flight can continue its journey. While the exact nature of the technical fault has not been disclosed, Mush’il stated that it was only a minor issue.
As of now, there are no plans to change the passengers to a different flight, and the airline is hopeful that the issue will be resolved by 1:00 pm today, allowing the flight to depart as planned.
