Male’ City Council has decided to request the government to issue the allowance of late Vilimale’ representative on Male’ City Council’s Women’s Development Committee (WDC), Aminath Eman to her family.
The proposal was submitted at today’s City Council meeting by Vilimale’ Councilor Nahula Ali, which was seconded by Deputy Mayor Ahmed Nareesh.
The proposal states that the monthly MVR 5,000 allowance entitled to WDC members be issued to Eman’s family until the conclusion of her current term. The proposal was approved by the unanimous votes of all members who were present for today’s meeting.
Eman passed away on Tuesday after suffering life threatening injuries in a road accident.
