The man injured in a road side accident at Addu City involving a crane-pickup is in critical condition, and will be airlifted to Male’ City.
The man is admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH). AEH revealed that the patient has sustained head trauma including skull fractures as well as lung contusions and multiple fractures of the limbs and pelvis. Moreover, he will be airlifted to Male’ City for urgent treatment, according to the AEH.
While the exact cause of the accident is unknown, the accident took place in very close proximity to Addu Equatorial Hospital. Maldives Police Service is currently investigating the accident.
