SriLankan Airlines and Manta Air are preparing to connect Huvadhoo – Colombo with Manta Air flights adding stops at Kooddoo Airport on the route to Gan International Airport.
The newly announced connectivity service will add Kooddoo Airport to the route from Colombo to Gan International Airport and allow passengers traveling from SriLankan Airlines to Gan International Airport to visit Huvadhoo Atoll.
The flights will be scheduled to Gan International Airport every Saturday and will be making a stop in Kooddoo on every lag. Moreover, the frequency of these flights will be increased based on the demand, according to Manta Air’s CEO Mohamed Khaleel.
The Regional Manager of SriLankan Airlines, Jayantha Abeysinghe said that this was something they have tried to do on several occasions but did not receive the required support, but thanks to Manta Air this will be possible very soon. It will be a further convenience to passengers traveling to the southern atolls of the Maldives. Moreover, daily scheduled flights to Addu will be possible in the future, he added.
Manta Air will commence scheduled flights to Gan International Airport on February 24th, however, the connectivity service will commence in late March.
