During a meeting of the PG Group held today, 17 of the 21 members present had voted to forward a motion of no confidence in the Prosecutor General to the Parliament.
Members of the MDP PG Group have expressed disappointment towards PG Shameem over his handling of the terrorist attack on Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed and how many involved in large-scale drug cases have been free as of late. Members highlighted the slow process such cases go through and how people in drug cases get released so easily.
