Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced that the ongoing fire building foundation beam works of the Meemu Airport Development Project are expected to be finished this week.
The project to develop an airport in Muli, Meemu Atoll, was awarded to MTCC on February 28.
Column works for the fire building are next on the schedule for the Meemu Airport project, according to MTCC.
The project includes 14 hectares of reclamation work, 1,812-meters of coastline protection work, and the building of a 1200meter x 30meter runway, taxiway, and apron.
The construction of Meemu Airport is expected to cost MVR 221.7 million.
