The Maldives Meteorological Service (MET) has issued a white alert for the region between Haa Alifu Atoll to Dhaalu Atoll.
From 14:45 until 18:45, the meteorological service predicts strong winds, rough seas, and swell surges.
The average wind speed is forecast to be between 19 and 24 miles per hour, with gusts reaching up to 45 miles per hour, according to MET.
Seas are expected to be rough with strong winds, MET advises travelers to be cautious.
