Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has launched a marketing campaign with Kazakhstan’s national airline, Air Astana.
MMPRC said it aims to promote the Maldives as a safe and popular tourist destination and to increase the number of tourist arrivals from Kazakhstan.
This campaign includes marketing activities targeting travel trade and consumers, including familiarization trips and a travel webinar. In addition to this, MMPRC is set to conduct digital media activities aimed at tourists along with an ambient outdoor campaign and radio advertisement.
The first team of travel agents from Kazakhstan visited the Maldives as part of the campaign on April 21 while a second team is scheduled to arrive on April 26.
Air Astana started its route to the Maldives in December 2020, and since then Kazakhstan has become the fifth-biggest source market of the tourism industry.
