More than 27,000 people have received the COVID-19 booster dose in the Maldives.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), 396,916 people have received the first dose and 367,950 people have completed the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the Maldives.
HPA started administering the booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine on December 4th last year for people over the age of 60 and underlying medical conditions along with front line workers. However, HPA has now started administering the booster dose to people over the age of 50. So far, 27,063 people have received the booster dose in the Maldives.
People that meet the requirements for the booster dose can administer the vaccine at ADK, Hulhumale’ Hospital, IGMH, Villimale’ Hospital, and Dhamanaveshi by making an appointment. Maldives has approved CoviShield, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, and Pfizer vaccines for administration.
