Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has stated that requests for marine and pilotage services, as well as the submission of ETAs and the acceptance of payment, have been automated, with the services now available online.
MPL claimed that as part of its efforts to improve the quality of services provided to its clients, it has established a Marine Module inside its Bandharu Portal that is especially built for marine and pilotage services.
According to MPL, its Pilotage and Marine Service Department and IT Department met with shipping agents on Thursday to discuss information on the Marine Module and to familiarise with the company’s modifications.
MPL also noted that beginning November 21, all requests for maritime and pilotage services, as well as providing ETAs and collecting payments, must be submitted online.
The company stated that the improvements will make submitting ETAs and receiving payments faster and easier, and that the implementation of the services online will benefit customers.
