Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced changes to its bus schedule for Hulhumale Phase II.
MTCC changed its bus timetable to accommodate the increased demand for bus services caused by the growing residential population in the Hiya flat region, with buses arriving every 15 minutes during peak hours.
Except on Fridays, buses will arrive in the neighborhood every 15 minutes from 0545hrs to 0815hrs, 1115hrs to 1415hrs, and 1500hrs to 2015hrs, according to the amended bus timetable. Buses are planned to come every 15 minutes from 1500hrs to 2115hrs on Fridays.
The company has not yet developed a direct bus service between Male’ City and Hulhumale’ Phase II. Passengers must now go from Male’ City to particular bus stations in Hulhumale’ Phase I and then take another bus to Phase II.
