Adam Azim, CEO of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), on Saturday evaluated the status of current development projects in Ha. Dhihdhoo, including the coastal protection structure project and the harbor expansion project.
According to MTCC, the Dhihdhoo costal protection structure project has made an overall progress of 59%, with the scope of the project including a 310-meter-long geo bag revetment.
Azim also checked on the work of the Ha. Dhihdhoo Harbor extension project, which has made a 20% progress. The project scope includes 78,000 cubic meters of dredging and excavation operations, the construction of a 616-meter breakwater, an 185-meter revetment, a 326-meter quay wall, the installation of 4,320 square meter harbor pavement, and the installation of harbor lights.
The Ha. Dhihdhoo Harbor extension project was awarded to MTCC in February 2021, with an MVR 69.87 million budget.
