Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) announced the start of quay wall construction for the S. Hithadhoo Old Harbor project.
According to MTCC, the installation of precast concrete blocks for the quay wall construction at S. Hithadhoo Old Harbor began on August 17.
The project will include 234,297 cubic meters of dredging and excavation, an 800-meter breakwater, a 284-meter quay wall, 1,420 square meters of paved space, and the installation of harbor lighting and navigational aids.
The S. Hithadhoo Harbor development project has an estimated value of MVR 52.4 million.
