Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the design and construction of the Ha. Dhihdhoo shore protection project has progressed by 65 percent.
The project is being undertaken to protect the shores of Ha. Dhihdhoo from coastal erosion. The project works include backfilling of 7,750 cubic meters of sand, 1,926 cubic meters of sand for filling geo bags, and construction of a 310-meter geo bag revetment.
The Ha. Dhihdhoo shore protection project is estimated to cost MVR 10.02 million.
