Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed harbor development projects at Nellaidhoo, Haa Dhaalu Atoll, and Landhoo, Noonu Atoll.
The business reports that the Nellaidhoo harbor development project was finished last Thursday, while the Landhoo harbor development project was completed on January 3.
The planning ministry awarded MTCC the MVR 55.4 million Nellaidhoo harbor development project in late August 2019.
The company completed 62,863 cubic meters of dredging and reclamation operations, 398-meter breakwater construction, 204-meter quay wall construction, 50-meter revetment construction, 103-meter groyne construction, 1,812 square meters of paved area installation, navigation lights, streetlights, and a ramp installation as part of the project.
The planning ministry also granted MTCC the MVR 35.60 million Landhoo harbor development project. The project included 25,000 cubic meters of dredging and excavation, as well as the construction of a 256-meter quay wall, a 401-meter breakwater, and a 60-meter revetment, along with navigation lights, streetlights, and 1,280 square meters of paved surface.
MTCC has completed 25 harbor development projects in the last three years.
