Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has reported that the harbor development project in Hangnaameedhoo, Alif Dhaal Atoll, is more than halfway finished.
The project has achieved 53% completion, the company said, with the assembly of precast concrete blocks needed for the quay wall beginning on December 11.
The harbor development project includes 6,363.1 cubic meters of dredging and excavation, as well as the building of a 204-meter breakwater, a 266-meter quay wall, and a 160-meter revetment.
It will also include the installation of 1,330 square meters of paved space and the installation of streetlight.
MVR 32.2 million is estimated to be spent on the Hangnaameedhoo Harbor project.
