Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has reported that the first phase of the road building project in Dhuvaafaru, Raa Atoll, was finished on February 14.
According to MTCC, the project included asphalt paving on 12 roads totalling 2.7km in length.
The project also included the construction of a 25,513sqm roadway, a 6564sqm sidewalk, a stormwater infiltration system, cable junctions, lamps, speed breakers, road markings, and zebra crossing markings.
The road construction project, worth MVR 43.05 million, was granted to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure.
