Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has begun foundation footing work on the Hdh. Hanimaadhoo ferry terminal building on September 19.
The Hanimaadhoo ferry terminal will be built as part of the first phase of the “Integrated National Public Ferry Network Project.”
According to MTCC, the goal of this project is to build a high-speed ferry network connecting the Maldives’ islands and atolls.
This project will be completed in three phases, with the first phase covering Zone 1 (Ha. Hdh. Sh. atolls).
The integrated national public ferry network is a project that will provide inexpensive, convenient, and sustainable passenger ferry services to all of the country’s administrative islands.
