Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) recorded the best year in its history with a net profit of MVR 264 million.
MTCC published its final quarterly report of 2021 which shows the company earned a profit before tax of MVR 52.27 million in the fourth and final quarter of the year, though it is MVR 28.67 million lower than of 2020, the company’s overall performance in 2021 was the best in its 41 year history.
The company earned a revenue of MVR 625.70 million in Q4 2021 which is higher than the MVR 408.76 million earned in revenue in the same period the previous year, and 29 percent higher than the revenue in Q3 of 2021.
MTCC’s total revenue in 2021 was MVR 1.96 billion which is higher than the previous record of MVR 1.36 billion in revenue in 2020.
MTCC had positive growth for all the core segments of the company in 2021 with various promotions and the operation of Greater Male’ Area bus service. MTCC managed a total of 103 projects in Q4 of 2021.
