MTCC is set to develop and build an airport at M. Muli worth MVR 221 million.
Project works include reclamation operations of 14 hectares, coastal protection operations of 1,812m, construction of a 1200m x 30m runway, taxiway and an apron.
The value of the project is estimated to be MVR 221.733 million and the project is to be completed within 365 days.
The agreement was signed by MTCC CEO Adam Azim and Director General Ms. Fathimath Shaana Farooq signed on behalf of the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
Government has extended the deadline by tomorrow for interested parties to submit an expression of interest to build airports in four additional islands including Hdh. Makunudhoo, Sh. Bilehfassa, B. Thulhaadhoo and Th. Vilufushi.
