Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced the start of a cycle ferry service between Addu City’s Hulhumeedhoo and Feydhoo today.
The ferry utilized between Hulhumeedhoo and Feydhoo can carry up to 15 motorcycles as well as 60 passengers on a single trip, the company said.
In addition, MTCC said special lifts will be employed at both Hulhumeedhoo and Feydhoo to bring the vehicles aboard the ferry regardless of tidal changes.
According to the company, an MVR 20 fee will be levied on each vehicle that boards the ferry, which will operate every day except Fridays.
MTCC, the Maldives’ largest transport provider, has been offering people with economical and easy land and sea transportation services, including its recent announcement of free bus trips for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and students.
