The Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure (MNPHI) has signed an agreement with Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) to design and build a causeway connecting Madaveli and Hoadehdhoo in Gaaf Dhaal Atoll.
During a ceremony conducted at MNPHI on Tuesday, COO Shahid Hussain Moosa signed on behalf of MTCC, and Permanent Secretary Zeeniya Hameed signed on behalf of MNPHI.
The project includes 260 metres of shore protection, a 262-meter approach road, road markings, pavement work, and the installation of lamps. The Madaveli-Hoadehdhoo causeway will be 383 metres long, according to MTCC.
The Madaveli-Hoadehdhoo Causeway Construction Project is worth MVR 84.17 million and is expected to be finished in 300 days.
