Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been given a contract by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure to reclaim land and construct beach protection structures at Feeali, Faafu Atoll.
MTCC CEO Adam Azim signed the agreement on behalf of the company on Sunday, while Ms. Fathimath Shana Farooq, Director General, signed on behalf of the Ministry.
The project entails 13.8 hectares of reclamation work, as well as the building of a 1606-meter revetment and a 150-meter groyne.
The project’s worth is MVR 66.85 million, and it is expected to be finished in 450 days.
