The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has awarded a contract to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) for the harbor development project at Maakurathu, Raa Atoll.
The agreement was signed on Thursday by MTCC CEO Adam Azim and MNPHI Permanent Secretary Zeeniya Hameed at a ceremony attended by Ungoofaaru Constituency MP Mohamed Waheed.
The project includes dredging and excavation activities totaling 45,023.84 cubic meters, the building of a 140-meter breakwater, a 28-meter groyne, an 85-meter revetment, a 129-meter quay wall, and the installation of a 641-square-meter pavement.
The project has a value of MVR 26.67 million and a completion time of 350 days.
