Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has squashed the rumors of a contaminated Taza bottled water batch that was released to the market.
Rumors of a Taza bottled water batch that failed a laboratory quality test due to a contaminated water tank caused by a dead crow at MWSC went viral on Social Media yesterday.
However, MWSC has denied the rumors in a statement released last night. The company assured that all the batches go through hourly testing and further investigation before being released to the market. Moreover, MWSC complies with the international quality standards and they are ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and Food and Safety Standard certified production plant.
Officials from MWSC have mentioned to some media outlets that a contaminated batch was found but it was never released to the market.
