Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced that the development and design of N. Landhoo Harbor are now 62 percent complete.
According to MTCC, the first shipment of rock boulders needed for breakwater construction arrived at the project site on August 23.
The company also reported that harbor pavement work is still proceeding, with an 89 percent completion rate.
The project includes 25,000 cubic meters of dredging and excavation, as well as the construction of a 256-meter quay wall, a 401-meter breakwater, and a 60-meter revetment, along with navigation lights, streetlights, and 1,280 square meters of paved surface.
The N. Landhoo Harbor development project is expected to cost MVR 35.6 million.
