President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has conferred the National Award of Honour to 10 recipients and the National Award of Recognition to 22 recipients. The recipients were presented with the honours at the official ceremony held at Dharubaaruge’ convention centre to confer the National Awards.
The recipients of the National Award of Honour received commemorative shields and badges, while recipients of the National Award of Recognition received commemorative plaques from the president. The National Awards Committee, constituted by the president to determine recipients for the prestigious award, selected the recipients.
The National Awards are conferred annually to recognise and encourage the efforts of individuals and organisations that contribute to the nation’s development and society’s benefit.
