COVID-19 relief spending by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has reached MVR 867.9 million.
In a report titled ‘COVID-19 Spending Report’ released by the government reveals that NDMA has spent almost MVR 867.9 million within the first five days of this month.
The spending includes MVR 36 million as employee allowances, MVR 112.5 million as capital equipment, and MVR 114.1 million as operational expenses.
Moreover, MVR 362.7 million was spent on procurement of essential supplies and MVR 39.8 million as travel expenses.
Government’s spending during the pandemic has reached more than MVR 3.3 billion in total.
