The Maldives Police Service has established a neighbourhood police service in Kulhudhuffushi City.
During a special ceremony on Friday, Home Minister Imran Abdulla and Police Commissioner Mohamed Hameed formally began the service in Kulhudhuffushi.
Speaking during the occasion, Imran emphasised the Maldives Police’s efforts in enhancing its services and adapting to new police practises.
He added that the establishment of a neighbourhood police service in Kulhudhuffushi will help the city’s efforts to create a safe, crime-free environment.
Furthermore, Hameed remarked that the neighbourhood police service is an essential component of the revolutionary changes being implemented by the Maldives Police.
The police commissioner expressed optimism that the community’s combined efforts will result in the establishment of a safe and secure society.
