Between November 1st and November 24th, the Maldives welcomed more than 113,000 visitors.
According to tourism ministry figures, there were 113,611 tourist arrivals in the Maldives this month, marking a 75% increase over the same period last year.
The arrivals in November boosted the island nation’s overall visitor tally for the year to 1,256,539.
The government has set a goal of reaching 1.3 million by the end of the year, with the most recent data showing an average of 4,734 tourist visits per day.
India and Russia account for over 40% of all tourist visits in 2021, with 252,551 and 202,227 tourists, respectively. Germany came in third with 81,223, accounting for 7% of the total.
