The Parliament is scheduled to commence for the year 2022 on February 3rd with the presidential address.
As per the agenda published by the Parliament today, the first sitting of the first session of the Parliament for the year 2022 will begin at 09:00 am on Thursday, February 3rd. The presidential address is the only agenda on the schedule for the day.
In his annual presidential address, the President will brief the Parliament on the current status of Maldives, along with its successes and challenges, and his administration’s plans. Minority leader PPM’s Ahmed Saleem will deliver his response to the presidential address.
Parliament went into recess on November 29th last year.
