Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced that travelers are no longer required to submit a PCR test if they have completed the vaccination.
In the announcement released today, HPA stated that if an individual has completed two doses of vaccination 14 days prior to arrival, they are no longer required to submit a negative PCR test.
Moreover, the vaccination must be one of the vaccinations approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) or Maldives Food and Drug Authority. HPA has also decided to abolish the PCR test which was mandated before departure.
The recent ease in restrictions comes after the COVID-19 situation improved dramatically across the Maldives.
