Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has commenced physical works of Hdh. Kumundhoo water supply and sewerage system.
A special ceremony was held to inaugurate the construction of Hdh. Kumundhoo water supply and sewerage system. The ceremony was attended by Managing Director of MWSC Hassan Shaah and Kumundhoo Council President Ameen Mohamed.
MWSC stated that all equipment required for the project has been mobilized at the site and construction works of the RO facility building is underway.
Project works for the water supply system include a main water supply network of 14 kilometers, construction of RO facility building, and 3 tanks for water storage. Moreover, installation of water meters in households along with safe to consume water connection.
Moreover, scope of works for the sewerage system include a sewerage network of 10 kilometers, 2.4 kilometer pumping line, construction of 5 pumping stations, and SC out floor implementation. MWSC will further assist to implement a junction system in households along with the connection to sewerage network.
Furthermore, MWSC is set to provide maintenance generators, vehicles, and equipment needed for research regarding the water supply system.
The project is set to be completed within 22 months and is valued at MVR 102.17 million.
