Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) today held a ceremony to mark the commencement of Meemu MIFCO Port Development and M. Mulah shore protection project.
The port development project will include reclamation works of around 22,000 cubic meters. In addition, it will include dredging and excavation works, a 160m quay wall, and a 68.9m revetment along with the installation of a 3,200 square meter pavement. The project is expected to be completed within 300 days
The shore protection project includes construction of a geo bag revetment of around 412m which is expected to be completed in 105 days.
The port development and shore protection projects have a valuation of around MVR 56 million and MVR 18 million, respectively.
