The Maldives Police Service has arrested two more suspects in connection with a 119-kilo narcotics seizure in Male’ City during a massive drug operation.
The 119-kilo narcotics recovered during this operation were discovered in the trunk of a taxi in Male City on Monday. Abdulla Mujaahidh, 29, Allora, GDh. Hoadedhdhoo, was the first person detained in connection with the crime. His remand has been prolonged by 14 days by the Criminal Court.
Police have announced that they have made two new arrests in connection with the case, a 51-year-old male and a 25-year-old man, whose custody has been extended by 15 days.
According to police, three residences in Male’, one house in Hulhumale’, a private car, and three bikes, in addition to the taxi, were raided during this operation.
