Maldives Police Service on Tuesday forwarded the cases of three individuals charged for engaging in homosexual relations with Bangladeshi citizen MD Alamgiri, to the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO).
A Media official from PGO has confirmed that they have received the three cases forwarded by the Police.
The cases forwarded are that of Nazim Abdul Sattar – a prominent lawyer and younger brother of Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed, former Parliamentarian of Nolhivaram constituency MP Mohamed Nasheed (Colonel Nasheed) and a Police officer that worked in the Drug Enforcement Department Abdul Rahman Rafeeu.
Moreover, multiple passports have been withheld along with suspensions and terminations have followed over the leaked same-sex videos as the fallout continues.
