Maldives Police Service has seized 17 KG of drugs in Male’ City transported via a pickup truck last night.
The seize was made on Sosun Magu (road) around 20:30, following which many packets of substances believed to be drugs were laid out on the road by the officers on scene as they continued to search the vehicle.
The operation was conducted after receiving intel from Maldives Customs. Moreover, Maldives Police Service has announced that four arrests were made in connection to the drug bust which included two locals and two bangladeshis.
The case is currently being investigated by the Drugs Enforcement Department of Maldives Police Service.
