Chelsea 2 – 5 West Bromwich Albion
Chelsea went ahead after 27 minutes thanks to Christian Pulisic’s close range effort after Marcos Alonso’s free kick had hit the post. However, captain Thiago Silva’s red card, after two minutes, turned the tide against the home side.
Matheus Pereira equalized just before half time (45+2) before going on to score his second of the game 2 minutes later to take the lead for West Bromwich.
Two second-half goals from substitute Callum Robinson (63, 90) and a goal from Mbaye Diagne (68) secured the win for the away side. Chelsea’s Mason Mount got a consolation goal in the 71st minute.
Leeds United 2 – 1 Sheffield United
Leeds midfielder Jack Harrison scored a tap-in from a Raphinha pass 12 minutes into the first half. However, Sheffield equalized just before half time with a goal from Ben Osborn.
Sheffield United defender Phil Jagielka put the ball into his own net (49) to help Leeds reach top half of the table. Leeds scored only a single goal themselves despite having several clear-cut opportunities.
Leicester City 0 – 2 Manchester City
After a dominant first-half, Manchester City found a breakthrough with Benjamin Mendy’s opener from 12 yards out (58). Gabriel Jesus (74) made it 2-0 to help Manchester City go 17 points clear at the top of the table.
Arsenal 0 – 3 Liverpool
Three second-half goals secured Liverpool’s win over Arsenal to keep their top four hopes alive. Substitute Diogo Jota headed in his first goal of the match from a Trent Alexander-Arnold cross (64). Egyptian Mohamed Salah made it 2-0 for Liverpool four minutes later after a mistake from Arsenal defender Gabriel.
Jota found his second goal of the game from a Sadio Mane pass to make it 3-0 for the away side (82).
