President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has embarked on an official visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), to participate in the World Government Summit 2024, scheduled from February 12 to 14. The President’s attendance at the summit comes at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister, and Minister for Defence of the UAE, as well as the Ruler of Dubai.
Under the theme ‘Shaping Future Governments’, this year’s World Government Summit serves as a platform for governments, international organizations, thought leaders, and private sector executives to engage in discussions about future challenges and strategies for empowering the next generation of governments.
President Dr. Muizzu is slated to deliver a main address at the summit and engage in meetings with dignitaries in attendance. Additionally, he will participate in the Maldives Investment Forum, scheduled for February 13, 2024, in Dubai, where he will deliver the keynote address. This diplomatic journey underscores the Maldives’ commitment to international collaboration, fostering discussions on global challenges, and exploring investment opportunities for the nation’s future growth.
