President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih vows to raise salaries of Maldives Police Service and National Defence Force officers during 90th anniversary ceremony.
President Solih made the announcement at a ceremony marking the 90th anniversary of the Maldives Police Service, held at the synthetic track in Hulhumale’. During his speech, he acknowledged the progress made by the police service and emphasized that improving the quality of police services should always be a top priority for the government. He also mentioned the ongoing efforts to reform state institutions and raise salaries for health workers in May.
President Solih further mentioned that the National Pay Commission is currently conducting surveys to implement pay harmonization for the security services, which would lead to positive changes in the salaries of all workers. He also highlighted housing concerns and stated that police officers will receive flats under the Blue Housing Scheme once the government decreases their prices.
