President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has tested positive for COVID-19.
President Solih tweeted today that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently well and isolated at his residence.
President Solih along with Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed was due to leave today to Sh. Komandoo for the by-election campaign. However, President Solih will not be taking part in the campaign and will be isolated at his residence instead.
Maldives is currently experiencing another surge in COVID-19 cases. Health Protection Agency (HPA) has warned that stricter measures will be imposed if the public fails to comply with the current measures.
