President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will address the nation tonight, the President’s Office has announced.
According to the President’s Office, President Solih is set to address the country at 8:00 p.m. tonight, although the reason for or content of the message has not been disclosed.
The president is addressing the country for the first time since undergoing thyroid surgery in Singapore. The speech would also be the president’s first interaction with the press this year.
He underwent the three-hour operation on February 25th, during which Vice President Faisal Naseem took oath as acting president.
